■ Why does indigo dye fade?
All products in the vegetable indigo dyeing series are dyed by hand using traditional methods. The indigo dye used is made from pure natural plant alcohol. The plant dye itself has very low adhesion, and the blue color is formed when it comes into contact with air oxidation. Therefore, true indigo can only be obtained by repeated soaking.
Even so, the core is hard to see through.
Therefore, with prolonged wear and washing, the blue and white contrast will appear in areas that have been rubbed.
The mechanism of indigo dye fading is similar to that of the original cowhide.
If denim doesn't fade, how can I wash it to create a different texture effect? The cat whisker effect from wear won't fade. It's not indigo dyed.
