About this product

Horween Chromexcel CXL is a blended tannage using traditional techniques and technology, combining two tanning methods: chrome tanning and chrome tanning. Chrome tanning makes the leather soft and durable, while chrome tanning gives the leather a beautiful color and lustre. The production of Chromexcel is highly complex, requiring 28 working days of work and 89 processes, including a thermal tallow treatment using food-grade beef tallow and cosmetic-grade beeswax.

Founded in 1905, Horween is a leather brand with over 100 years of history. They are world-renowned for producing high-quality leather and have consistently produced the world's best leather. Making it the best means meticulous attention to every detail.

Chromexcel leather is soft to the touch, comfortable and durable. The most distinctive feature of Chromexcel is its discoloration, which occurs when the leather is stretched, resulting in a vintage look.
