These are Streofit's US Army service shoes, the M-43 "TYPE III." These "TYPE III" boots are made with thick cowhide leather lining. The leather is then sanded to make the surface even, and solid paraffin is melted and soaked into the leather for waterproofing. The exact same manufacturing method is used as back then.
Just like the real thing, the flat cotton cord is coated with a specially formulated wax, which makes it tightly knotted and difficult to untie, making it suitable for field use.
These boots are also well known as the ones worn by Steve McQueen in the film "The Great Escape."
The leather surface is made from genuine suede, and after sanding it, paraffin is melted and soaked into it, resulting in unevenness and a rougher appearance in some areas than regular suede shoes. This is also a characteristic of the M-43, so please understand this before purchasing.

About returns and exchanges
