The "MA-1" is an outerwear jacket developed for the United States Air Force around the 1950s. Many models are reversible, with the lining typically being orange, the color of rescue aircraft. The orange lining was developed as a practical detail, so that pilots who ejected from fighter jets would be more easily spotted by rescue teams by wearing it with the orange side out. Made from nylon, the jacket features a simple design that allows for easy movement even in a cramped cockpit. The MA-1's ultra-lightweight, insulated lining provides comfort and ease of movement, excellent cold and wind protection, and a refreshing feel around the shoulders.
This MA-1 flight jacket is inspired by the popular "Flying Tiger" theme. It features an embroidered "Flying Tiger" badge, symbolizing the brand's glory. Crafted from lightweight, durable, and windproof nylon, the jacket features ribbing on the sleeves and hem, which, like the flap, keeps out the wind and keeps the inside of the jacket warm.
